SECQAI chosen to join next phase of NATO DIANA acceleration

London UK - SECQAI has today been announced as one of ten companies selected to join the second phase of the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA).

The ten innovators were part of 44 companies chosen in 2023 to join the first acceleration cohort of the newly formed DIANA organisation, set up by NATO Allies to tackle complex security challenges with disruptive dual-use technologies.

As part of Phase II, SECQAI will receive additional funding (up to €300 000) as well as tailored programming, investor networking, and adoption opportunities.

SECQAI’s flagship product, the “Q-Locked” System on Chip (SOC), is the most secure semiconductor device ever designed. Using memory safe architectures, with Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC), SECQAI enables customers to secure their connected devices, wherever they may be.

“We’re thrilled to continue working with the NATO DIANA team to supercharge the commercial growth of our System on Chip across both Commercial and Defence Markets,” said Rahul Tyagi, Founder & CEO at SECQAI.

The ten innovators come from seven nations, specialising in a range of technology fields sectors from quantum sensing to renewable energy to ultra cold matter.

To move into Phase II, innovators had to demonstrate progress in their commercial and defence market potential, the technical viability and novelty of their solutions, and their investment readiness. Review panels comprised technical, defence and innovation experts.

“We’re proud to announce the ten innovative companies moving into Phase II,” said Professor Deeph Chana, Managing Director of DIANA. “To solve complex security and resilience problems, we need an ecosystem of creative, collaborative innovators willing to bring their talent and expertise to bear. These ten innovators, and indeed all of our first cohort, are paving the way for a strong pipeline of innovation for Allied nations to adopt.”

Phase I of the acceleration programme was a six-month ‘bootcamp’ that increases participants’ exposure to defence markets and needs, commercial and investment guidance, and demo and testing opportunities. Innovators received €100 000 and were paired with one of DIANA’s network of accelerators across the Alliance.

From Phase II onwards, SECQAI will continue to work with leading OEMs and integrators. The emphasis will be on building further partnerships to deliver the Q-Locked SOC’s memory safety and PQC capability in their products, helping to make our society a safer and more secure place.
