SECQAI Launches World’s First Quantum Large Language Model (QLLM), to Shape the Future of AI
London, UK – 6th February 2025 – SECQAI, a UK-based ultra-secure hardware and software company and member of the NATO DIANA initiative, today announces the launch of the world’s first hybrid Quantum Large Language Model (QLLM).
This launch marks a significant step in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by integrating quantum computing into the traditional structure of Large Language Models to enhance computational efficiency, problem-solving capabilities, and linguistic understanding.
Over the last year an expert team of engineers have been dedicated to pushing the boundaries of this next generation of accelerated compute. The team was focussed on the challenges around building a Quantum Large Language Model (QLLM) and approaches to Quantum Machine Learning.
Overcoming the immense hurdles required the design and development of an in-house system that could, efficiently, simulate a Quantum Computer as well as support gradient-based learning and, within this environment, develop a quantum attention mechanism, incorporating it within existing LLM models.
There are significant widespread applications of this quantum transformer and quantum simulator from innovating within semiconductor design at small transistor size, to identifying hidden patterns within existing encryption standards, the development of new material structures and the discovery of new medicines across pharmaceuticals. While early days for this technology, it shows significant promise.
