The human brain is centred around a set of different neural network models, with incredibly complex interactions leading to the behaviour we see in people, these models are built around Spiking Neural Networks.
Spiking Neural Networks differ from traditional neural networks as they model information processing not only in the spatial domain, but also in the temporal domain. This goes beyond even the most capable sequence-to-sequence models currently being investigated in traditional deep learning networks.
